Management Team


Ike Broaddus, CEO
Ike Broaddus Prior to becoming CEO of GURUnet, Ike was CEO and co-founder of NM Management, Inc., a multi-office real estate corporation in the Washington DC Metro area with interests in residential and commercial real estate, property management, mortgage and title. He has been in the real estate industry since 1987. Prior to founding NM Management, Inc., he founded CENTURY 21 Performance and, in five years, grew it from startup to CENTURY 21's most productive franchise in the Mid-Atlantic region. Along with his partners, Ike developed several creative recruiting, training, and accountability systems, including the area's first successful salaried REALTOR® program. Ike also developed an interactive database for tracking cash flow and transaction management, and has trained other Broker/Owners on how to implement various business systems within their operations.

Ike has served as the chairperson of the CENTURY 21 Technology Council, and was active in founding the largest MLS in the world, MRIS, where he serves as a Director. He has been active in the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS®, and served on the Board of Directors of the National Capital Brokers Council for CENTURY 21 from 1991 to 1997. Ike attended Virginia Tech University where he majored in Engineering Science and Mechanics.

Richard Goe, COO
Richard Goe Richard comes to Guru Networks from Cisco Systems, Inc. While at Cisco, he successfully grew three multi-million dollar sales regions that consistently exceeded their sales objectives. Always up for a challenge, Richard accepted an opportunity to build a cross-functional, international sales and engineering team. His leadership empowered this team to overcome multiple languages, cultures, and time zones. By identifying key business drivers and developing strong strategic partnerships, Richard was able to grow this team's revenue from $10.7M in 2002 to $25.5M in 2003.

In September 2003, Richard joined Guru Networks when he saw an opportunity to accelerate the company's growing dominance in the marketplace. He is using the same strategies he leveraged at Cisco to achieve rapid revenue growth and a Smart Growth resource model to improve profitability and achieve maximum revenue per head count for Guru Networks.

Paul Hill, CTO
Paul Hill Prior to co-founding GURUnet, Paul was founder ( in 1993) and CEO of Open Systems Associates Inc. (OSA), a technology company in Northern VA focusing on the real estate industry. He is the designer of the Object Model upon which the GURUnet products are based. He has spent most of his career in executive and middle management roles creating hardware, software and communications products. For instance, during his 26-year career with IBM, he delivered six commercial products to market. He was active, within and outside IBM, working for adoption of Open Systems standards. He was responsible for the adoption of distributed technologies (Distributed Computing Environment, or DCE) across all strategic IBM operating systems, while also chairing the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Forum for Open Software Foundation (OSF, now Open Group).

Paul is often called upon to speak at conferences, such as Comdex and Real Estate Connect. Because of his visibility within the technology community, he has performed due diligence investigations of Internet companies for DLJ, and Epson, and performed communication network designing for World Bank and Reuters. He has worked with 5 industries as they changed from a "mom and pop" status to the commercial business world: residential real estate is the sixth. Paul has been active in AARTT, the standards body for the real estate industry almost since it's conception, and currently serves on the executive committee as chair of the technology workgroup.

P. D. (Penny) Sullivan, Vice President, Business Development
P. D. (Penny) Sullivan Penny, one of the co-founders of GURUnet, was also a co-founder of Open Systems Associates, Inc. where she served as VP of Business Development from 1993 until GURUNet was formed. During that time, she worked extensively with REALTORS® and Brokers to understand their business requirements and assist in implementing enterprise solutions based on their needs. Prior to co-founding Open Systems, she had a 16-year sales and marketing career at IBM, where her last assignment was focusing on the emerging Open Systems opportunity across the Mid-Atlantic area as a consulting marketing representative.

During her IBM career, Penny was an active participant in the successful launch of the IBM RS/6000 as a platform in multiple vertical industries. She was responsible for forming partnerships with multiple Independent Software Vendors, assisting them to port their applications to this new platform. She began her IBM career selling off-the-shelf IBM products to Federal agencies, achieving notable success selling office automation to the U. S. Navy. She holds a BA degree in Sociology from Colby College.

Slava Lazebnikov, Vice President, Development
Slava Lazebnikov Slava, with twenty-five years of experience in applications system development and management consulting, has a strong background in object-oriented design and programming. He leads the GURU Development team and architected the complex access control methodology that gives g3 techology-based products the flexibility to be tailorable to any business model.

Slava provides leadership in conceptual system and database design, system architecture design, development and deployment of software systems. He has had extensive management consulting, business process reengineering, and executive information systems implementation experience, as well as hands on experience in writing system programs. Over his career, he has dealt with complex coding issues, database and data warehouse modeling and design, development of software products and project type applications systems. He is especially proficient in object-oriented methodologies (RUP and Extreme Programming). In the area of business applications, he has worked on the development of Real Estate products, Business Intelligence products, CASE tool, Asset Management software product, telecommunication provisioning services, Manufacturing systems, MRP II, Theory of Constrains, Office Automation, Information Systems & Data Warehousing.

Prior to joining GURUnet in the fall of 2002, he was a Managing Architect at Microstrategy. Before joining Microstrategy, he managed the Enterprise Architecture group for GEICO, a large insurance company.

Kevin Loch, Director of Network Design and Operations
Kevin Loch Kevin is responsible for internal network design and operation, including a dozen Unix servers. He and his team work to ensure that our customers have 24/7 access to the GURUnet systems that run their businesses.

After GURUnet's purchase of the Synteleos TMNTM service, he and his team successfully transitioned the service from the West Coast to a secure Co-Location Facility in Northern VA without service interruption.

Prior to joining GURUnet as one of its first employees, Kevin had been Director of Network Services for Open Systems Associates (OSA) since October, 1998. While at Open Systems, Kevin designed and implemented a secure, reliable network for CENTURY 21 New Millennium to support its installation of the GURU Broker Automation Solution, enabling it to be managed 24 hours a day remotely. He also designed, implemented, tested and managed a large (50 site) network installed for a prominent New England real estate company including LAN, WAN and Help Desk staff. Technologies included Cisco and Ascend Routers, frame relay and HDLC DS-1's, Centrex ISDN, IBM RS/6000 servers with AIX, NT Server 4, Lotus Notes (IMAP, POP, LDAP), Apache.

Prior to OSA, he was Director of Systems and Software Maintenance at Avatar, where he supported all internal network and software services. Kevin attended both Radford University, majoring in Physical Science, and Illinois State University where he majored in Physics.
